Ronda Rousey pre-fight footage before 17-second win leads to fan conspiracies

OK, MMA fans. Put on your tin-foil hats if you haven’t already. Because there’s a lot of chatter online about how Ronda Rousey’s win over Gina Carano took all of 17 seconds Saturday night on Netflix… and there’s footage beforehand that folks think is noteworthy.

Rousey beat Carano by taking the former Mandalorian star to the ground and delivering an armbar. And as some fans shared on social media, there was footage of Rousey practicing right before the fight with the same move to take her practice partner to the ground.

Now: That could have just been the plan all along. It’s not a “scripted” fight if there’s a game plan in place for Rousey to beat Carano with that move.

The two of them reportedly got paid well for this fight, which can’t help the conspiracy theories at all.
