Clemson fate in ACC Tournament bracket revealed, now-or-never for Tigers

Clemson’s path in the 2026 ACC Baseball Championship is officially set after the conference released the tournament bracket on Saturday.

The Tigers enter the postseason as the No. 15 seed after finishing the regular season 31-25 overall and 10-20 in ACC play. Clemson will open tournament action against No. 10 seed Notre Dame on Tuesday, May 19, at 5 p.m. ET at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.

If Clemson can get past the Fighting Irish, the Tigers would move on to face No. 7 seed Virginia Tech on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET. A second win would then send Clemson into Friday’s quarterfinal round against No. 2 seed North Carolina.

The ACC Tournament once again features all 16 teams in a single-elimination format. The top four seeds, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Florida State and Boston College, all received double byes into the quarterfinals after strong regular seasons.

Georgia Tech claimed the ACC regular-season title in head coach James Ramsey’s first year leading the program, earning the No. 1 overall seed for the second straight season.

For Clemson, the tournament offers a chance to build momentum late in the year and make a postseason push despite the difficult regular season conference record. The Tigers will need to string together wins quickly in a bracket loaded with nationally ranked programs.

Every game from Tuesday through Saturday will air on ACC Network, while Sunday’s championship game is set for noon ET on ESPN2.
