It was reported on Friday that the Boston Celticscould consider trading Jaylen Brown this summer.
According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints though, the Celtics won’t be considering moving Jayson Tatum.
“Right off the bat, the Celtics will not be considering anything that involves Tatum this offseason,” Siegel wrote. “He is the face of the franchise, and after returning earlier than many thought from his Achilles injury, Tatum has regained the mantle as the leader of the team.”
Boston has been linked to Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in trade rumors for months, with the “Jays” being included in many fake trades.
Brown had the best season of his career during the 2025-26 campaign and led the Celtics to a surprising 56-26 record and No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
JB has received heavy criticism in the aftermath of Boston’s historic first-round playoff collapse vs. the Philadelphia 76ers though for complaining about the officiating and other topics.
Tatum made a triumphant return from last May’s devastating Achilles injury but surprisingly missed Game 7 against the Sixers due to knee stiffness.
