The reason for her death hasn’t been officially disclosed. Reportedly, she was facing some health battles, privately, and it got even worse with her back pain. Joni was married to Marcus Lamb, with whom she formed Daystar. The couple had been married for decades, and it was in 2021 when he passed away. Following the same, within two years, Joni married Doug Weiss, and the duo had been together until her death parted them. As Joni married Doug, really shortly after her first husband’s death, she had to be questioned by people, who asked her how she could even start talking to someone within 7 months of her husband’s passing. In an interview, she had spoken about it, including the fact that it was Marcus who wished for her to remarry.
