Now out of the Champions League, Barcelona have been left to concentrate fully on their La Liga title race, and they are close to the finish line.
The Blaugrana were dumped from European competition by Atletico Madrid in a contentious quarterfinal matchup that saw Hansi Flick’s side come back from a multi-goal deficit only to fall short in the end.
They hold an 11-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the domestic standings and know that a win over El Clasico rivals Real Madrid this weekend would see them crowned champions.
The Sporting News details Barcelona’s injury situation as it stands.

Barcelona injury list
Below is the latest injury picture for Barcelona, including estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.
Lamine Yamal
- Injury: Hamstring
- Expected return: June
Lamine Yamal picked up a Grade 2 hamstring injury while scoring the game-winning penalty against Celta Vigo on April 22, leaving him out for the rest of the club season.
He is expected to recover in time to return for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Spain this summer, but his fitness will have to be monitored so he does not suffer a recurrence of the muscle injury during what can be a grueling month-long tournament.
Raphinha
- Injury: Hamstring
- Expected return: May 10 (vs. Real Madrid)
Raphinha sustained an injury in his right hamstring during France’s 2-1 friendly win over Brazil on March 26. Barca confirmed the next day that the winger is facing five weeks out of action.
The Brazilian was on the bench for the La Liga match against Osasuna on May 2, but did not appear in the match, finishing as an unused substitute. That means he will likely get minutes in El Clasico on May 10, but he could play it safe given his injury history and the upcoming World Cup.
Andreas Christensen
- Injury: Partial ACL tear (left knee)
- Expected return date: May/June
The Denmark international picked up a serious knee injury during a training session before a match against Villarreal in late December. While he does not need surgery, it will take some time before he will return. The expectation is that he will be sidelined for four to five months, and may not make it back before the season concludes.
