The fallout from the Victor Wembanyama elbow to the neck of Naz Reid is here, as the world waits to see if the the San Antonio Spurs superstar will be suspended after a dangerous play.
Among the responses — besides Dylan Harper’s stunned face as the elbow connected with Reid — was that of the victim himself. Reid was asked by a reporter after the Minnesota Timberwolves‘ win about if he was surprised or if was hurt by Wemby rearing back and elbowing him that hard.
His response? He kept it simple, philosophical and tough: “Pain is weakness leaving the body. That’s it.”

That’s it. No other response. Sounds like he’s moving on from it and proving he’s not bothered by a shot to the throat that could have been much worse had it connected with his face.
Will Victor Wembanyama be suspended for his elbow to Naz Reid’s throat?
No word on that yet, but there’s speculation that it’s possible.
