Florida‘s wide receiver recruiting board continues to come into focus, and four-star recruit Elias Pearl is one of the rising 2027 names the Gators are tracking. The 5-foot-10-inch, 180-pound Port Charlotte, Florida, native has emerged as one of Florida’s top priorities in the cycle.
A highly regarded playmaker, Pearl has become a major target for Jon Sumrall and staff. For Florida, continuing to stack blue-chip talent on the offensive edge is essential in reestablishing SEC viability.
The Gators secured a dynamic 2026 receiver class in four-star talents Davian Groce, Justin Williams and Marquez Daniel — a group that is already earning a reputation in Gainesville. According to On3, the Gators have gone “all-in” in their effort to land Pearl as a continuation of this trend.
During a breakout junior season at Port Charlotte High School, Pearl recorded 69 receptions for 1,052 yards and 13 touchdowns. Also accounting for 11 rushing touchdowns and 2 kickoff returns, the blue-chip receiver was named First-Team All-Region. Thanks in large part to the contributions of Pearl, Port Charlotte reached the semifinals of the Florida 4A playoffs.
Florida has been aggressively pursuing multiple elite receivers in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Beyond Pearl, the Gators are also eyeing Louisiana native Easton Royal, a five-star prospect who is touted among the nation’s best. Current signees at this position for Florida’s class include four-star Anthony Jennings and four-star Tramond Collins.
Elias Pearl’s recruiting summary
Pearl is ranked No. 90 overall and No. 16 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the Rivals industry ranking pins Pearl at Nos. 95 and 17, respectively. He has garnered 11 other offers, including three SEC programs: Ole Miss, Auburn and Georgia.
The Gators are overwhelmingly favored to pick up Pearl’s commitment with a 97.9% chance according to Rivals, while the Ole Miss Rebels are the only other school with better than a 1% chance at 1.3%.
