Auburn‘s Ethin Bingaman collects his third SEC honor of the season after being named SEC Freshman of the Week by the conference on Monday, May 11.
It is now the third time seeing Ethin Bingaman’s name next to the SEC Freshman of the Week this season. He earned the honors this week after a series win for the Tigers in Starkville. In that series, Bingaman recorded three runs, one home run, three RBI, and was 5-for-12 at the plate.
Auburn now has won six straight series in SEC play, where he has 20 runs, six home runs, and 23 RBI, which he also leads all conference freshmen in RBI in conference play. He also leads the team with a .394 average. Overall, he has recorded 46 runs, 10 home runs, and 36 RBI this season.
Bingaman first earned the honors on Feb. 23 and then his second on Apr. 27. The Tigers now prepare to close out the regular season with a midweek game against Jacksonville State on Tuesday, May 12, and then wrap up SEC play with a series starting Thursday, May 14, against No. 5 Georgia.
