While we wait for the entire schedule to be unveiled, we finally know who the Oregon Ducks will take the floor against in conference play next season.
The Big Ten revealed the matchup pairings for the impending 2026-27 men’s college basketball season, with all 18 teams in the conference playing a 20-game schedule in league play. The Ducks will play each team once, while playing a home-and-home set with the other West Coast programs: UCLA, USC and Washington.
The schedule will be demanding for an Oregon roster that looks completely different from a year ago. The Ducks will host Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers at Matthew Knight Arena. The road schedule might be even more daunting, with trips to Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin on deck.

Dates and times for the Big Ten schedule will be revealed at a later date.
Dana Altman dove deep into the transfer portal to rebuild a roster that features just one returning player on scholarship and multiple freshmen who could be tasked with a sizable role right away. Oregon secured transfer guards Jasper Johnson (Kentucky), Tyrone Riley IV (San Francisco) and Fred Payne (Boston College) to rebuild the backcourt without Jackson Shelstad. Down low, the Ducks added Taylor Bol Bowen (Alabama) and Andrew Meadow (Boise State) as forwards who could slot into the lineup.
The Big Ten only continues to get stronger as more talent flocks to the conference’s winning program. Michigan won a national championship last season thanks to a lineup made entirely of transfers. Oregon might not reach the same heights, but there is no reason to think the Ducks can’t create some of their own success with a veteran lineup of transfers.
Oregon will be tested in the Players Era Tournament during the week of Thanksgiving before getting deep into its Big Ten schedule. Trips to Michigan and Michigan State will test the Ducks’ connection as a new group, but the Ducks could capitalize on home games against big brands like Purdue and Illinois.
Altman still has plenty of time to see his team work together before deciding on the perfect rotation to roll into the season. Oregon only won five games in conference play last season, but the expectations are much higher heading into the 2026 season with new faces all over the place.
