Rory McIlroy is, of course, among the favorites at the 2026 PGA Championship, but there’s a little concern about an injury that’s popped up this week.
Per Golfweek, McIlroy revealed he had a blister under one of his toes that was causing some pain. He ended up removing the nail on that toe to help, but then he cut his practice round short on Tuesday
He also was absent for a PGA Champions dinner photo on Tuesday night. So could this be an issue for major that kicks off on Thursday? We’ll see if he is OK on Wednesday and will update you here.
Is Rory McIlroy’s toe injury the reason why he missed the Champions Dinner?

No official word on that, but maybe? Also, he could have been at the dinner but not in the photo.
When is Rory McIlroy’s tee time at the 2026 PGA Championship?
That would be 8:40 a.m. ET. He’s going to play with Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm.
