According to multiple sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Atlanta Falcons in Week One. Hosting a game Week One is a rare occurrence for the Steelers. The last time the Steelers hosted Atlanta in Week One, they went to the Super Bowl. This was in 2010 and the Steelers beat the Falcons 20-10.
The NFL is set to release the full regular-season schedule on Thursday night but plenty of games have been leaked already including a Christmas game, a Black Friday game and a game in Paris.
Historically, Pittsburgh has gone on the road to open the season. Over the team’s history, they have only played at home 35 times to open the season and only had Week One home openers six times under former head coach Mike Tomlin from 2007-2025. The last time Pittsburgh hosted a game on opening weekend was in 2023 when Pittsburgh lost to the San Francisco 49ers 30-7.
