Even though the FIFA World Cup final is over a month away, it has already been generating a lot of buzz. For those unaware, the final is scheduled for July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. One of the reasons fans are excited about the World Cup final, apart from the game, of course, is its never-before-seen halftime show. Some of the biggest names in music, including Shakira, Madonna, and South Korean boyband, BTS, will headline the performance.
How much will Shakira, Madonna, and BTS get paid for performing at FIFA’s first-ever halftime show?
For the uninitiated, it is none other than Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, who is in charge of curating the halftime show that FIFA president, Gianni Infantino called “a show befitting the biggest sporting event in the world” in a statement last year. The show will reportedly be produced by Global Citizen. Now, coming to the question that most of you might be wondering: how much are Shakira, Madonna, and BTS going to earn from performing at FIFA’s biggest-ever halftime spectacle? Interestingly, the answer to this is zero. None of them is going to earn a single dollar.
