FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas softball Fayetteville Regional opener is in a weather delay after thunder was heard during the bottom of the second.
The home plate umpire had a discussion with an NCAA rep and elected to continue the game, but Fordham head coach Melissa Inouye came out to discuss the situation, and the game was sent into a severe-weather delay moments later.
The Razorbacks (42-11) lead 2-0 with two outs in the second inning. Karlie Davison provided a two-run homer earlier in the frame, and the bases were loaded when the game went into a delay.
The pause will also alter the start time for the second game of the day featuring Washington and South Florida, which was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT.
Below are live updates from the weather delay at Bogle Park.
