Scottish League Two Play-offs
Edinburgh City (3) 2 – 0 (1) Brora Rangers FT
An early Divine Iserhienrhien double extended Edinburgh City’s stay in League 2 and denied Brora Rangers a historic first promotion to the Scottish Professional Football League.
The 18-year-old on-loan Airdrieonians striker had cancelled out James Anderson’s opener for the Highland League champions in the first leg of their Pyramid Play-off final.
It only took Iserhienrhien one minute of the second leg to fire the opener at Meadowbank Stadium.
He also struck just short of the quarter-hour mark to give the hosts an early 3-1 aggregate lead they never relinquished.
Iserhienrhien ends the season with five goals in three games, after his double in a 5-0 win over second-bottom Dumbarton ended a run of seven straight league defeats for the side who finished bottom – thanks to a 15-point deduction for insolvency.
As Edinburgh extend their 10-year stay in the SPFL, Brora fall short in the play-offs for a second season running.
