The Los Angeles Rams have one of the most intriguing rosters in the league. For years, the team has operated with a lot of draft picks and has relied on veteran talent from free agency and/or trades. Recently, though, the Rams have added a lot of key components to the roster through the draft that helped build a stable core of stars for their contention window.
As such, the Rams enter the 2026 season with the 26th-oldest roster, per Fantasy Life’s Ian Hartitz. The average age of the team’s roster is 26.35, tied with the Atlanta Falcons. Split between offense and defense, the Rams have the 25th-oldest offense (26.72) and the 19th-oldest defense (26.05).

This isn’t that shocking. While offensive players on offense like Kyren Williams, Puka Nacua, Blake Corum and Terrence Ferguson are all 25 or younger, that youth is offset by Matthew Stafford (38), Davante Adams (33) and Tyler Higbee (33).
The same goes for the defense, only skewed slightly younger. The oldest defensive player is 30-year-old Poona Ford, followed by 29-year-old Byron Young and Larrell Murchison. Most of the defensive players are 27 years-old-old or younger.
What this balance has bred is a team that is young enough to hang with some of the fastest teams in the NFL and experienced enough not to be flummoxed by veterans. It helps, too, when you’re coached by Sean McVay and constantly playing in important playoff games.
