We’ve known the Indianapolis Colts’ 2026 opponents for quite some time, but now we know what their full schedule looks like.
By a few different metrics, the Colts have one of the easier schedules in football this season — on paper anyway. This includes facing only four playoff teams from the 2025 season.
That said, how the schedule falls can impact the difficulty of it as well.
Below is a look at the Colts’ schedule, followed by five takeaways from it.

A late bye week
Following an early-season trip to London in Week 4, the Colts chose to pass on taking their bye week in Week 5. So it ended up being in Week 13 — the second-to-last week that the bye can occur. It’s going to be a long stretch of games to get to that rest point.
How many primetime games do the Colts have?
After having one primetime game in 2025, the Colts have two this year. Including the London matchup with Washington, the Colts will be featured in three standalone games in 2026.
Back-to-back road games on three occasions
Three times this season, the Colts will play back-to-back road games. This includes playing only one home game between Weeks 4 and 8.
What is the most difficult stretch?
It is a difficult start to the year for the Colts, who start the year facing Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, and then arguably the best defense in the NFL in Houston. Playing abroad will always have its uncertainties, and the week after that London trip, the Colts are back on the road to face the Steelers.
