Boston Bruins forward Fraser Minten finished in 10th place in the Calder Trophy voting.
The NHL announced that New York Islanders defenseman Matthew Schaefer won the Calder Memorial Trophy, which is presented ‘to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition.’
Schaefer received all 198 first-place votes which made him the first unanimous Calder Trophy recipient since Teemu Selanne of the Winnipeg Jets received first-place votes on all 50 ballots cast after his historic 76-goal season in 1992-93.
Although Schaefer ran away with the award, Minten did receive some votes. The Bruins center finished in 10th place, receiving six votes for fourth place and 12 votes for fifth place.
The full voting was as follows:

It was a solid year for Minten who became an impact centerman for Boston and looks to be a future top-six center in the NHL. Minten at times was on the top line, as he finished the year recording 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points in 82 games.
Boston acquired Minten from the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline as part of the return for Brando Carlo. It’s a trade that looks to be a steal for the Bruins.
Minten was selected in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft by the Maple Leafs.
