Alan and Lisa Robertson recently sat down for an interview with Fox News Digital, where they shared emotional details about their struggles in marriage. Alan admitted that consistent infidelity usually destroys marriages. But he believes that relationships can survive if both people are willing to confront their mistakes. He recalled that when he initially doubted Lisa’s affair, she refused. But later he found out about the truth from their call records. Recalling his reaction, he said:
“When unfaithfulness happens in a marriage, so many times, that’s the end of it, but it doesn’t have to be. Everything can be worked through. I think for the first few weeks, I was leaning toward thinking that it was probably over. I was just not sure if I could ever fully trust again. [I wasn’t] sure Lisa really wanted to be in our marriage.”
