

Former U.S. Air Force officer, Monica Witt is back in the news after the FBI renewed her global search after more than a decade. Who is Monica Witt?

Monica Witt is a former Air Force counterintelligence officer and cryptologic language analyst. She served in the U.S. military after joining in 1997. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, she worked in some highly sensitive intelligence roles related to Middle Eastern operations. At the same time, she was a Farsi-language specialist during her career in the U.S. Eventually, between 2003 and 2008, she reportedly worked with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and held top-secret security clearance.
