With a lull in the action setting in following the 2026 NFL Draft, this is a great time for analysts to break down everything that has taken place in this busy offseason, and make some projections.
The Tennessee Titans made some significant moves, and many analysts and talking heads see better things on the horizon, especially for quarterback Cam Ward. One of the latest to weigh in with some type of projection is Matt Okada of NFL.com, who sees Ward as a potential Pro Bowler in his second season.
PRO BOWLERSCam Ward – Tennessee Titans – QB
The Titans addressed their biggest hole early in the draft, passing on elite defensive prospects to take Ohio State wideout Carnell Tate with the fourth overall pick. This. Means. Everything. Pairing a highly drafted quarterback with an impact receiver is a recipe for success in a passer’s second season — SEE: Drake Maye with Stefon Diggs, Joe Burrow with Ja’Marr Chase and Kyler Murray with DeAndre Hopkins. The Titans also signed free agent Wan’Dale Robinson this offseason to work the short areas of the field. Last season, Ward’s pass catchers dropped 24 passes (eighth-most in the league) and logged a -3.9 percent catch rate over expected (fourth-worst), per NFL Pro. With significant improvements to his weaponry and new OC Brian Daboll on the headset, Ward has a chance to become a Pro Bowler in 2026.
The Titans have added some weapons around Ward, and brought in Brian Daboll to build an offense that should allow Ward to thrive in 2026. While there are still some questions along the interior of the offensive line, there is no doubt that Tennessee sits in a better place for Ward heading into his second season.
Ward sis flash potential as a rookie, and was one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league heading down the stretch of the 2025 season, and truly took off once Brian Callahan was relieved of his duties. Now, with an established coordinator that actually understands playcalling and gameplanning, Ward is in a place to take a significant step forward in 2026.
