After arriving with huge expectations, Roony Bardghji is now facing an important few weeks at Barcelona.
The young winger is still viewed as a player with enormous potential, but there is now genuine uncertainty surrounding what comes next for him ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to reports in SPORT, Barcelona’s sporting department continues to rate the Swedish youngster highly, and the club has not lost faith in his long-term quality.
However, his immediate future is far less clear than it once appeared, which is why a loan move during the summer is already being discussed as a serious possibility, especially if it helps him gain regular minutes.
It is known that Hansi Flick has been pleased with Bardghji’s attitude and commitment in training.
The German has regularly praised the youngster, but for now, nothing has been decided.

Bardghji was handed a major opportunity when Lamine Yamal suffered an injury, which ended his season.
With Barcelona needing solutions in attack, Flick trusted the Swedish youngster with valuable starts against teams like Getafe, Osasuna and Alaves.
But instead of using those matches to cement his place in the squad, the winger struggled to leave a strong impression.
He failed to register either a goal or an assist across those appearances and often found it difficult to create danger against deep defensive setups.
The biggest issue for Bardghji is the position he naturally occupies, as the right wing already belongs to Lamine Yamal.
Breaking into that role regularly is becoming almost impossible for any young attacker in the squad.

Now, Flick has experimented with Bardghji in different positions, including on the left flank and occasionally in a more central attacking role. Still, those tests have not yet produced convincing results.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford’s improved performances on the right have only intensified the competition.
A loan could be the best option
At this stage, a temporary move away from Barcelona could become the smartest solution for everyone involved.
The club still see Bardghji as a player with enormous long-term potential, but young attackers need regular football to continue developing.
From Barcelona’s perspective, a loan would allow the youngster to gain experience, confidence and consistency without permanently closing the door on his future at the club.
There is still a belief inside the club that the talent is real, although talent alone is rarely enough at Barcelona, especially in attacking positions where competition is relentless.
