Kentucky outfielder Braxton Van Cleave suffered a scary injury in the bottom of the third inning against Arkansas on Friday, May 15.
Van Cleave was attempting to stretch a two-out, RBI single into a double after the throw home, but ran into an Arkansas defender Camden Kozeal in the basepaths, which resulted in a hard collision on the field.
He’d be later stretchered off from the field after being tended to on the ground for an extended period of time.

He was immediately tended to by members of Kentucky’s medical staff on the field, and was down on the field for an extended period of time. He eventually was carted off the field on a stretcher.
He’d then be taken to an ambulance that arrived at Kentucky Proud Park behind the outfield gate.
“That was tough,” Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said on the SEC Network+ broadcast when asked about the incident.
