The Denver Broncos are expected to have at least four veteran tryout players at rookie minicamp this week.
The most notable name on the list is quarterback Nathan Peterman, a 32-year-old journeyman backup who has spent time with five NFL teams. Joining Peterman on offense is wide receiver Michael Woods, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.
Woods (6-1, 204 pounds) also worked out for the Broncos last September. The 26-year-old wide receiver entered the league as a sixth-round pick out of Oklahoma with the Cleveland Browns in 2022. Woods has 12 receptions for 110 yards on his career résumé, including three catches for 43 yards against Denver in 2024.
On defense, Klis reports the Broncos have invited defensive end Isaiah Thomas (6-5, 266 pounds) and safety Brandon Hill (5-11, 195 pounds). Thomas is a former seventh-round pick out of Oklahoma (2022) who has totaled 12 tackles, two forced fumbles and one sack in 12 career games. Hill was picked by the Houston Texans in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft out of Pitt. He has appeared in two regular season games in his career.
