Once again, Derrick White put together a great campaign for the Boston Celtics during the 2025-26 season. In his fourth full season since being acquired from the San Antonio Spurs, White posted career bests of 16.5 points, 5.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals. Although White’s scoring and shooting numbers didn’t progress like some fans may have hoped with Jayson Tatum sidelined, the strides he made defensively should not go unnoticed.
White finished the year with 98 blocks, the most in a single season by a guard in 17 seasons since Dwayne Wade posted 106 during the 2008-09 campaign. As a result, the ninth-year veteran finished sixth in Defensive Player of the Year Award voting, the highest finish of his career.
Here are some of Derrick White’s best plays of the season.
