Wednesday night’s Game 5 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons ended with a bit of controversy in regulation.
A no-call on Cavs vet Jarrett Allen prevented Pistons standout Ausar Thompson from heading to the line right at the end of regulation to potentially give Detroit the win. Did Allen foul Thompson? It sure looks like he tripped him up.
The refs must have just missed the trip from Allen, which could have changed the game if called. Instead, the game went to overtime, and the Cavs got the 117-113 victory and 3-2 NBA playoff series lead. A tough break.
