The 2026 NCAA softball tournament field is now set, and the race to the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City is officially underway.
In a bit of a surprising selection, the Alabama Crimson Tide earned the No. 1 overall seed despite their SEC championship game loss to Texas. The defending national champion Longhorns ultimately earned the No. 2 seed, while Oklahoma fell to the No. 3 seed after its quarterfinal exit at the SEC tournament in Lexington, Kentucky.
