The Golden State Warriors didn’t move up or down in Sunday’s NBA Draft lottery, keeping the No. 11 selection. With that pick, the Warriors have been linked to Nate Ament, a 16.7 point per game scorer as a freshman with Tennessee.
That said, Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report has Golden State selecting another shooter in the second round, No. 54 overall.
In his most recent mock draft, Wasserman predicts that the Warriors will select Emanuel Sharp, a 22-year-old out of Houston. Wasserman compares him to a current Warrior, Seth Curry, given the fact that he knocked down 309 career 3-pointers in four years with the Cougars while shooting 37.6%.
Considering Golden State may trade their first-round pick, it wouldn’t hurt to add cost-effective shooting efficiency in the second round.
