The Green Bay Packers will open the 2026 regular season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, per reporting from @OzzyNFL. The Week 1 showdown between NFC North rivals is scheduled for a 3:25 p.m. CT kickoff.
This is an unverified report. The full schedule will be officially released later on Thursday.
If current leaks and reports are correct, the Packers will open the season with back-to-back road games and three of the first four on the road.
The Packers lost the regular season finale to the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in January, although many important players did not play for Matt LaFleur’s team. Clayton Tune, who is no longer on the roster, started at quarterback.
The Vikings finished the 2025 season at 9-8 after winning their final five games, including the 16-3 win over the Packers.
The Vikings will likely be debuting a new starting quarterback in Week 1. Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback and No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray signed a one-year deal with the Vikings, and he is expected to be the starter over J.J. McCarthy in 2026.
