In the world of TV rights, the NFL is Thanos and its broadcast partners are the Infinity Stones.
Among the most recent stones added to the NFL’s gauntlet is streaming giant Netflix, which signed a three-year rights deal with the pro football league before the 2024 season. In the two years since, Netflix has had broadcast rights to two games on Christmas each year.
Those Christmas games will continue to have a home on Netflix in 2026. But they’re not the only Netflix games on the menu this year. The NFL’s annual schedule release revealed that Netflix is adding more games to its plate for this season.
The Athletic reported on May 7 that Netflix would broadcast the league’s inaugural regular season game in Australia – a matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. That followed an earlier report from CNBC that Netflix was also getting right to other standalone games.
On May 13, the NFL announced there would also be a “Thanksgiving Eve” game, played on the Wednesday before Turkey Day. That game will feature the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Green Bay Packers on Netflix in Week 12.
Here’s what to know about the slate of games that will be broadcast by Netflix during the 2026 season:

- Week 1 (Sept. 10): Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers, 8:35 p.m. ET
- Week 12 (Nov. 25): Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers, 8 p.m. ET
- Week 16 (Dec. 25):
- Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. ET
- Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills, 4:30 p.m. ET
- Week 18 (Jan. 9): TBD vs. TBD
In addition to the two Christmas games on Netflix in 2026, there will be three other games on the streaming giant during the regular season.
The first of the bunch is the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia. Netflix will broadcast the Rams vs. 49ers game from Melbourne in Week 1 – the second overall game of the season.
The streaming giant announced on social media that it will broadcast one of Week 18’s Saturday games on Jan. 9. With the NFL’s Week 18 schedule usually not finalized until much later in the season, the teams set to play on Netflix remain TBD.
