ALLIANCE — Senior pitcher Kendyll Cahill leads nine Mount Union selections on this year’s All-Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Team.
Cahill was voted the John Wells OAC Pitcher of the Year. She enters this year’s NCAA Division III Tournament with a 19-2 record, a 1.94 ERA and 84 strikeouts in 23 appearances (21 starts). She is also hitting .404 with two home runs, 12 doubles and 19 RBIs.
Joining Cahill on the All-OAC first team are senior Sydney Mercer, sophomore Allison Jones and freshmen Addy Antonetz and Alli Hodgkinson. Sophomore Emma Reemsnyder and freshman Grace Bates earned second team honors. Seniors Lydia Brunner and Faith Reicosky were named honorable mention.
Purple Raiders head coach Meghan Simons and assistants Jillia Cook and Erika Warren were named the Donna J. Newberry OAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Simons and her staff have led Mount Union to a 29-6 record, a third OAC regular season title in the last four years and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Mount Union wins Tim Gleason Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s All-Sports Trophy
Mount Union has won the Tim Gleason Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s All-Sports Trophy for the first time since 2015 and the sixth time overall.
The award is presented annually to the top-performing departments in the OAC based on cumulative finishes across all sponsored sports. During the 2025-26 season, the Purple Raiders won women’s conference titles in softball, swimming and diving, indoor track and field and lacrosse.
