Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa has this weekend moved to make clear just how serious a crime he feels the club’s internal leak is responsible for.
Ongoings behind the scenes at Real Madrid have of course dominated the media headlines across world football over recent weeks.
This comes after a series of behind-the-scenes dramas and altercations between teammates, staff and more were leaked to the media.
The issue came to a head on Thursday, when word of Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni being involved in a physical dressing room exchange was also made public knowledge.
This caused heavy damage to Real Madrid’s reputation as a club, with Valverde having ended up in hospital with a nasty cut on his head.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the subject of the internal ‘leak’ at Valdebebas was in turn put to the aforementioned Álvaro Arbeloa once more.
And the Spanish tactician could not have been more damning in his response, insisting:
“I’ll say it again, because maybe I wasn’t very clear: leaking things that happened in the locker room seems like a betrayal of Real Madrid. Of this badge.”
